Use the view switcher above a task list. The available views are:

  • List: a compact, readable list of tasks.
  • Kanban: columns follow the team's status order.
  • Board: a card-based overview of tasks.
  • Calendar: tasks positioned by due date.
  • Table: task fields arranged in rows and columns.
  • Timeline: a date-oriented view for comparing task timing.

Plan with Calendar

  1. 01Open Calendar from the main navigation to review tasks across your teams.
  2. 02Use the calendar controls to move between dates and months.
  3. 03Choose a date to create a task with that due date, or open a task from the calendar to see or edit its details.
  4. 04Use the task views and available filters to narrow the work you are reviewing.

Dates and recurring work

A task's due date controls where it appears in date-based views and whether it is considered overdue. Recurring tasks create successors according to their pattern and optional end date; check the current instance before duplicating work. Daily, weekly, biweekly and monthly patterns require a due date. Slack channel calendars use the linked team's reminder timezone for timestamped deadlines; date-picker midnight-UTC dates retain the selected calendar date. Do not assume every date is a meeting time.

Find work on desktop or mobile

  1. 01Use My Tasks for assigned work and a team page for the whole team's tasks. Select the available status, priority or assignee filters and clear them if work seems missing.
  2. 02Use Search tasks in the sidebar with at least two characters to search accessible task titles and descriptions; a result opens its team.
  3. 03On a narrow screen, open the sidebar using the header navigation toggle. Select a company there before choosing Teams or Calendar; the navigation closes after choosing a page.
  4. 04Use Tab and Shift+Tab to reach controls and Enter or Space to activate buttons. You can open task details without dragging cards. On small screens, scroll wide table or timeline content horizontally as needed.
Keep in mind
For a missing calendar task, check its due date, selected period, company, team membership and filters before changing the date. Refresh after a lost connection; ordinary Slack channel messages are not imported as tasks.
